Background

Stefan Kraus began his professional career as a lawyer in 1988 in a partnership of lawyers, accountants and tax advisors in Wuppertal. In 1989 he joined Arthur Andersen, where he was significantly involved in setting up Andersen Legal in Germany and abroad. After the resolution of Arthur Andersen in 2002, Stefan Kraus lead the German Member of Andersen Legal to join EY Law in Germany and to become in 2006 the fully independent law firm Luther.

Through all these stages of development, Stefan Kraus headed Luther and its predecessor firms until 2010 as Managing Partner. In 2017, Stefan Kraus left Luther in order to reestablish Andersen in Germany.

Through all his professional career, Stefan Kraus specializes in advising entrepreneurs and companies on all kind of transactions and corporate reorganizations, particularly in a cross-border context. Clients highly appreciate his broad understanding of the related tax and accounting aspects and implications of such matters. Stefan Kraus also represents individuals and companies in respective matters involving corporate and commercial litigation.
